About me

I'm Bryndon Jefferson Ráschaul, brass musician, composer/ film-score maker. I'm from northeastern Arkansas. I draw on blues, classical, jazz, and even outside influences to craft scores that blend rich textures with a storyteller’s sensibility. As a lifelong linguistics enthusiast—now studying Portuguese—I weave cross-cultural dialogue into many of my compositions & film work. My reasoning being that we share this planet amongst several other billion people. We have more in common with one another than ya think. To me, music is one of those things that can create those connections. :)

I am driven by a passion for musical artistry and have keen ears & eyes for detail. I'm elated to collaborate closely with any who choose to bring their musical visions to life, ensuring every project is a masterpiece of thought and originality.

My Portfolio

A Story from the Ozarks (2019)

00:00 / 05:54

This is a chamber piece was inspired by the natural charm and rugged beauty of the Ozark Mountains, a region that partially cradles a portion of my home state of Arkansas. Drawing from local folklore and narrative traditions—evoking the spirit of both The Canterbury Tales and The Arkansas Traveler—the work unfolds as a series of musical vignettes. Blues-inflected harmonies meeting classical baroque structures, creating a rich tapestry that is both rooted and inventive. With each passage, the piece invites listeners into a sonic journey through regional myth, memory, and the distinctive cultural rhythm of the Natural State. –this piece was premiered June 3rd, 2025 by the Brooklyn Art Haus.

Echoes from Home (2022)

00:00 / 04:58

This piece is a piano-duo arrangement of Christophe Herál’s “Home Sweet Home,” I drew on childhood memories of Ubisoft soundtracks from games like Rayman Origins and Beyond Good & Evil to breathe new life into a familiar theme. Herál along with fellow composer Billy Martin had influenced me greatly as a pre-teen. Their works pushed me into wanting to become a composer; "Home Sweet Home" in particular is one of the most influential pieces of music in my life, it solidified my passion and I treat "Echoes from Home" as hommage to that. –this piece will never be published.

En vyolèt (2024)

00:00 / 08:33

This piece was a chamber piece that I originally had intended to be scored for film. I studied a lot of Duke Ellington's works at the time and created this from the process. –this was premiered July 17th, 2024 by the Playground Ensemble along with myself.
